Special Olympics transforms lives through the joy of sport, every day, everywhere. They are the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with more than 4.5 million athletes in 170 countries -- and millions more volunteers and supporters. They are also a global social movement.

Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Special Olympics athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment -- on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.

As a special thank-you, Special Olympics Chicago will award two round-trip United Airlines tickets to the Walk for Special Olympics fundraiser who raises the most money! The tickets are valid for travel to the contiguous United States, Alaska, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, with travel dates through December 31, 2016. To begin fundraising: login to your account, open the "My Account" tab in the upper right corner of the screen, and select "View Fundraising" next to your Walk registration to set up your page!
